Honey Baby
Honey Baby is a gorgeous, dilute "torbie" with tabby markings on her face and tortoiseshell markings on her body. She is five years old and weighs in at a solid seven pounds.
Honey and her adopted sister, Lola May, along with another brother and sister, lived with an elderly lady who loved them very much. They were pampered pets who wanted for nothing. Unfortunately, the lady died, leaving them alone in her home. A friend visited them and cared for them every day until the lady's house was sold, and that's when they came to Cinderella.
The three other cats are overweight, but very sociable. Two have already been adopted. Honey Baby is at her ideal weight, but is very shy. As of this writing, she will allow some petting, will let you pick her up, and will come running for any type of food, but she prefers to stay mostly in the safety of a box house on a shelf at our shelter.
We feel confident that, given some time to adjust, she will come around and learn to trust humans again. We're hoping that just the right person, with lots of love and patience, will see Honey Baby for the sweet, lovely kitty that she is and give her a forever home.
She is used to being around other cats, but, as far as we know, hasn't been around dogs. She will probably do best in a quiet home with other cats who are not aggressive towards her.
