JJ is a very good boy! He is a Flat-Coated Retriever, a breed highly prized for being sweet, exuberant and lively. He was born in August 2018 and he weighs 70 pounds. When he's happy, JJ is a real flag-waver, with his glorious tail signalling his enthusiasm for life and his love of fun.
His breed is described as being companionable and affectionate–a true family dog. He will welcome the chance to go for walks, on hikes, and for swims, whenever he can. And, of course, he loves to play and retrieve.
JJ will be happy to spend lots of time outdoors having fun, but he will also love staying inside with his favorite humans and just hanging out.
JJ's pure black coat is thick and flat, of moderate length, which requires only minimal maintenance, with a weekly brushing and maybe an occasional slight trim. Of course, being a water-loving dog, he will welcome bath time.
